What is the National Dog Access Register?

The National Dog Access Register is the public register of Verified Businesses participating in the UK National Dog Access Scheme.

It allows people to check a participating business's current dog access status before visiting, including whether dogs are welcome, whether restrictions apply, or whether pet dogs are not permitted.

The Register is premises based. Each participating location is listed according to the dog access policy applying at that premises.

Know Before You Go

Dog Access Mark is designed to remove uncertainty. Instead of relying on assumptions, outdated listings or unclear signs, people can check the current information recorded for a Verified Business before they visit.

Verified information

Why verification matters

A business appearing in the National Dog Access Register is different from an unverified directory listing. Verified Businesses enter the Scheme through the Dog Access Mark registration and verification process.

Verified Business status operates on a 24-month re-verification cycle, helping ensure that participating businesses periodically review and confirm their current information.

The public profile is the authoritative record

Where a business displays a Dog Access Mark sticker or website badge, its public Business Profile provides the current information recorded in the National Dog Access Register.

Verification
